1st Birthday Party

Today we celebrated Destry's 1st Birthday with a small party with a few family and friends. When he woke up this morning he was a bit cranky. He felt really hot and was running a temperature. He took a long nap and was feeling a little better by the time everyone arrived. Still, he was just not himself today, normally very active and outgoing, he was more quiet and clingy. After visiting with everyone for a while, we opened presents and then he dug into his cake. I think he liked the frostng more than the cake and as expected, he made quite a mess. His actual birthday is on Wednesday and we have another party planned with the whole family at the cabin next weekend. Hopefully he feels better by then. He are some pictures from his first party.

Happy Easter!

Hope you all had a great Easter. We had a fun weekend. On Saturday, Destry went to his first Easter Egg Hunt at a community hunt here in Duvall. He wasn't quite sure what to do but Mama helped him out. In the end, he got 5 eggs and really enjoyed being around all the people. After that we packed up and went to the cabin. We spent the evening coloring eggs and hanging out with Grandma & Grandpa J and Scott & Whitney. On Sunday we went to church and then had Easter Dinner with the whole family. Destry had a great time playing with everyone and we enjoyed spendng time with family. Here are some photos from Easter weekend.

Tooth #7

Today I got a peek at Destry's 7th tooth to come in. It's on the bottom left side and has just broken through! If we can get a picture of it I'll be sure to post it.

What A Trip!

After 11 days, over 5,ooo miles traveled and 5 amusement parks visited we are finally home. Tiff, Destry Jr and I met up with my parents, brother and neice for a family vacation to Florida. While there we visited relatives in Lakeland, went to Seaworld and spend 7 days at DisneyWorld. We all had a wonderful time. I will try to post pictures soon.

Destry celebrated St. Patrick's Day by donning his finest green duds and doing what he does everyday, run around the house. Hope you all had a great St Paddy's Day and didn't get pinched.

Your Next...American Idol!

Several weeks ago, Destry started puting cups up to his mouth and making noises. I think he likes the echo it makes. It's really funny to watch him. A few week ago we gave him a toy microphone that makes your voice echo when you talk into it. He can be pretty entertaining when he starts to "sing". Here are some photos of our Rock Star!

Football Practice

I know that football season has been over for a while now, but it's never too early to start practicing for next year. Destry likes to spend the evenings before bed practicing his moves.

Teeth

I finally got a shot of Destry's four new top teeth. You can see the middle two easily and if you look real close, you can see the new ones poking through on each side of them.

In addition to number 5 yesterday, Destry got tooth number 6 today. He is getting quite a set of chompers!

Long Time No Post

It has been some time now since I last posted. Sorry, but I do have an excuse. I have had a cold for two weeks now plus I had the stomach flu this past weekend so I haven't really felt like doing anything. Sad thing is a lot has happened over the past few weeks. Tiff, my mother, Brian and Nonna all had birthdays, Destry has been walking like crazy and got a new tooth (#4), he was also sick for several days, Tiff was sick, and of course, I was sick. Sorry I don't have too many photos from the past two weeks but here are some highlights.
