Ginny Weasley

Tiff had what looks like a pretty fun Halloween party at work today (I actually worked at work today). Check her out, she was Ginny Weasley from Harry Potter. Her group went at the whole Harry Potter gang.

Zoinks...Early Halloween

Busy week. We passed week 14, went to the doctor and went to two Halloween parties. 179 days to go (mom, that does not mean 179 shopping days left). On Friday, we went to Tiff's monthly doctor's visit. Everything is going well and we got to see the baby again. The doctor had to use the portable ultrasound to see the heartbeat because the baby was hiding and she couldn't hear the heartbeat with the Doppler. Our next appointment is the day before Thanksgiving which is when we will find out the sex. On Saturday, we went to two different Holloween parties (I know, we are quite the socialites). Good thing I guess, because everyone keeps telling me to do everything we can before the baby is born. One of the parties was a 70's theme. Tiff and I were having a hard time finding 70's costumes so we went as Scooby and Shaggy (that's pretty 70's right?). Check us out, don't we look sweet!? I also included a picture of Tiff's brother Scott in his best 70's Bill Gates costume.

Pumpkin Carving

Tiff and I carved pumpkins today. While we were out yesterday, we stopped at the grocery store to pick up some pumpkins. We each searched for the perfect one (I spent way too much time on this, but then again, that's how I am). I can't think of the last time I carved a pumpkin, so I had a lot of fun. We bought a carving kit so we cheated on the designs. We are so proud of our skills regardless. Tiff also sorted through all the "guts" to separate the seeds and baked them. I expanded my skills and also carved a watermelen that has been sitting in our kitchen for months. Check out our masterpieces:

One Third of the Way There

We passed week 13 a few days ago. Our next doctor appointment is on Friday, I am little excited as it seems like forever since we were there last. Plus, its always fun to get the afternoon off from work. I am sure that soon enough it will seem like we are going all the time. All is going well. It seems like everyone we know is expecting as well. I think this makes it nice for Tiff because she has plenty of people to "compare notes" with.

Twelve Weeks

We reached the twelve week mark on Tuesday. That means we will be entering the second trimester soon and maybe (hopefully) Tiff won't be so tired. Although I guess I can't complain too much since she really hasn't been sick at all so far. She has had a non stop craving for Mac and Cheese for the last three weeks now. Tonight was the second time she has had it in the past week and she is a big fan of Trader Joe's frozen Mac and Cheese. One more week and we will be one third of the way!

Getting the word out

We started telling everyone our news this week. Although I think I am now at a point that I can't remember who I have told and who I haven't. If I have forgotten to tell anyone, I apologize. Today Tiff went in for some tests. I didn't go with her this time so she asked her mother to go so that she could see the ultrasound. Judging by how much she loves the first image we gave her, we knew that she would be thrilled to be there. She was able to get a few pictures and her mom cannot wait to get copies. You can actually see a profile of the face. I will post some pictures as soon as I get them scanned in.

Oh Yea, the Other News

As some may already know (Tiff is not as good a liar as I am), Tiff is pregnant. We are both so excited and can't wait. She is due April 17th which both seems so far away and so close. We told our parents a few weeks ago on Grandparents Day. They are all VERY excited to say the least. This will be the first grandchild for Tiff's parents and her mom screamed and jumped up and down for about 20 minutes when we told them. My mom has shown her excitement by keeping the baby clothes industry in business. They were in such a slump as Shelby has gotten older and is now 6. She told me this weekend that she has already started stocking up (mom, you need to behave yourself). Before our Anniversary weekend actually began on Friday, we went to the doctor. We got to see the heartbeat (although we had already heard it when she had an ultrasound a few weeks earlier, you can see that image on my webpage). Everthing is going great so far and Tiff hasn't been sick much at all. She has, however, been VERY tired...ALL THE TIME. Starting this week, we are letting everyone know. If you have stumbled upon this and we haven't had the chance to tell you, I apologize. We can't wait to share our news with you all.

First Anniversary

Tiff and I celebrated our first anniversary this weekend. To celebrate, we both took off from work early on Friday and headed on our long trip to the distant city of Seattle (well it is when you live in Duvall). Once we arrived at our destination, we checked into the Hotel Monaco. After we got settled in, we decided to go for a walk to find a place to eat. We didn't make it too far before we chose Troiani. It was a nice Italian Restaurant with excellent service. They made our Ceasar Salad from scratch (including the dressing) right at our table. While talking with our waitress, we mentioned that we we celebrating our first anniver-sary. At the end of our meal, she brought out a great dessert with "Happy Anniversary" written in chocolate on the plate. Our stay at the Hotel Monaco was great and even included a complimentary copy of Barry White's Greatest Hits and a bottle of Champagne. Saturday morning we walked to the Pike Place Market and then did some shopping. Later, we checked out of the hotel and drove to the Seattle Center and hung out for a few hours. Worn out, we came home a vegged out for awhile and then "ate" a piece of our wedding cake followed by actually eating a piece of cake we had made for our anniversary by the same bakery as our wedding cake (thank you Tressa, again it was awesome). Today Tiff is scrapbooking with friends and I am watching football and playing on the computer.
