Who's a Big Boy?

Destry Jr is! Destry had his two month Dr appointment today. He weighed in at a whopping 11lbs. 9oz. and is 23 in. long. He has gained 1lb. 10oz. in just the last two weeks! Not bad for a kid that weighed just 5lbs. 14oz. just eight weeks ago. He was very brave during his examination but just couldn't hold it in once he got his shots.

Zoom Zoom Zoom. We picked up our new car on Monday! We are very excited and absolutely love it. It drives really smooth and has lots of cool features. Tiff even let me take it to work today. Check out Tiff and her new car.

Destry Jr is Two Months Old

Already! Yes, Destry turned 2 months old on Sunday. I think that we are really lucky as he is a pretty good baby. Most of the time he sleeps through the night, at worst he is up only 2-3 times. He loves to laugh and giggle and just recently he has started to grab for things. Bath time is one of his favorite things. He loves to splash around in the water. Finally...

...we are getting a new car. After about 5 months of looking, and looking, and looking, we finally decided on a new car. We are getting a Mazda CX-9. We are very excited and can't wait to pick it up. It is still on a boat but should be here today or tomorrow and hopefully we can pick it up on Monday.

Father's Day

I celebrated my first Father's Day as a new dad this past weekend with Tiff's family at the cabin. We enjoyed spending the day with family and the weather was beautiful. My favorite gift? Tiff's mom let us sleep in! I think we were a bit tired as the three of us slept in until 10:30. We played some badminton and watched golf and basketball on TV. It was a nice relaxing day. Mother's Day

I was thinking about writing a post about my first Father's Day this past weekend when I realized, "I never wrote about Mother's Day!" This Mother's Day was extra special. First, it was Tiffany's first as a mother. Second, my parents were in town, which allowed me to be with my mother on Mother's Day for the first time in ten years. We spent the day at the cabin with my parents and her family. Here are a few pictures of some of my favorite mothers on Mother's Day. We love you all!

Jump Planet

A few weeks ago, Tiff and I went to a birthday party for a friend's daughter at Jump Planet. It is basically a huge room full of large inflatable slides, obsticle courses and bouncer mazes. Did the kids have fun? Of course they did. But I don't think that anyone there had as much fun as Tiff did. She has not stopped talking about it and says that she wants to have her next birthday party there. Check out my girl.

Week 7 & 8 Photos

I have been slacking! Sorry. :o( I have posted photos from weeks 7 & 8 in the Photo Gallery. Destry Jr is getting BIG. On Friday he weighed in at just under 10 pounds. I will try to post more updates soon.

Girls Night Out...

...means boys night in. Last night Tiff went out with a bunch of friends for dinner and then to the Sex and the City movie. I think we were both a bit nervous that Destry Jr and I would be home alone together, especially since it would be during his fussy time. DID I EVER LUCK OUT! He was perfect. All evening he was really good and then went down to sleep around 10:00 with absolutely no problems, which NEVER happens. He even slept until Tiff got home. We had a great boys night in and Tiff had a great night out with friends (she even only called to check in once).

Mariners - Red Sox

On Wednesday night we dropped Destry Jr off for a evening with Grandma Johnson while we went to the Mariners - Red Sox game. The M's are not the best team in baseball this year (actually, they are the worst team in baseball) but they won 1-0. We had a great time as it was our first game in about three years. Plus, Tiff's company had bought a bunch of tickets so she was able to see a lot of her co-workers. And to top it off, the owners of her company threw out the first pitch.

Week Five - Destry Jr is One Month Old

Wow, how time flies. We cannot beleive that it has already been one month. It seems like Destry Jr is getting bigger by the day and he should be, the kid loves to eat! He has really been good for the most part. He has his meltdowns every night from about 10:00 to 12:00. Once he finally calms down and goes to sleep, he is great. He usually only wakes up once during the night around 4-5:00 and has even slept through the night twice. I have posted week five pictures in the gallery.

Week Four

Sorry about the "Week" posts but I am trying to catch up. I think my mom is a baby whisperer...she was so much help. Destry Jr. does not like to go to bed when we do but she was always able to get him down. We were really glad that they were able to come up and spend the week with us. We miss them already, actually we miss them every night about 12:00 when he won't go to sleep. Thank you mom and dad for coming up, we really enjoyed your visit and really appreciate all your help. Destry Jr. had a weigh-in on Wednesday and was 7lbs 1oz. He has gained 19oz in 19 days. He now has his daddy's double chin. We also had some portraits taken on Thursday.
