Nine Month Portraits

It's that time again. I have added a new ablum of Destry's nine month portraits. You can see them here: http://picasaweb.google.com/destry21/NineMonthPortraits#.

Happy 35th Birthday!

Today is Destry's 35th Brithday. I hope he has a wonderful day and all his birthday dreams come true!

9 month checkup

Yesterday Destry had his 9 month check up. The Dr. said he looks perfect and is growing nicely. He's 19 lbs 14 oz (40%), 28 1/2 in. long (50%), and his head is 17 1/2 in (25%). He's tracking the same each check-up with the exception of his length last time when he was in the 75% percentile so they think the last nurse what a bit generous.

He seemed to have a good time in the Dr's office and the only part he didn't like was his shot, but he only cried for a second then was back to playing. He's such a good little boy and we are really lucky.

Fun filled day!

Destry had a big day yesterday. First we went to Jazzercise and for the first time he played in the back room with the babysitter and a few other kids. It's the first time he has been watched by someone he doesn't know, so I thought he may do a lot of screaming. Not the case yesterday, the babysitter said he was good the whole time so I'm happy that I can go to Jazzercise more often!

After Jazzercise we went to my mom's house and met up with Lori and Samantha (11 months) for a play date. The kids had fun playing and getting into things. Their favorite toy was the stairs. They both had a great time climbing up them. They were so cute together, and my mom was so happy to have all of us there.

While playing with Samantha, Destry started clapping for the first time. It was so cute. Sam must have taught him how. They were doing a lot of talking.

It's My Son in a Box

I know, every kid loves boxes. But ours likes to be in boxes. Don't get me wrong, he likes to play with them as well, but it always seems like he ends up in them. Check him out.

In a box for "indoor Sledding".
In a box lid.
In a TSA bin at the airport.
A variation on Son in a Box, Son on a Box.
And here is my favorite. He combines Son in a Box with his other favorite pastime, climbing. He was climbing on his toy box and fell into it. From there, he climbed out and up onto the recliner.

In the toy box after falling in.

Starting to climb out of the box.

Out of the box.
